Callan Park

Last Saturday we went for a walk in beautiful Callan Park. It is an old bit of Sydney that was last used as a psychiatric hospital, but is now preserved as a park right on the shores of the harbour.

There are some wonderful old sandstone buildings dotted around the extensive grounds.

And sure enough, there was a lot of heeling practice too. Kay has tried to think of all sorts of things to improve my heeling - hot dogs and my orbee ball are my favourites so far.

Here's a video of us practicing - you can see that I really do know how to do it...

We love Callan Park.

  5. Good job, Ruby! Miro will do some heeling off-leash but I wouldn't try it in an open area--unless I were carrying baked salmon, perhaps.

  6. Hi,

I work for a landscape architecture company and we are currently writing a dog management strategy for Callan Park. We love your photos and were wondering if we may put them on the document as well as some public flyers?

We were hoping to use the photo of the two dogs at the top of the stairs. So cute.

If we have your permission what name should we put in the image credit?

    Kind regards,

    Frankie
