Gardening fun

We've been having fun in the garden. First, Neil took out the old orange tree stump. It was huge, like an iceberg.
(I'm happy to report that Neil's right foot survived his dubious hatchet technique!)
With the stump out of the way, it was time to build some raised garden beds. They started out like this.
Then this.
3 cubic metres of topsoil are coming tomorrow... that's going to be a BIG pile of dirt to be shifted! Good thing dogs don't have opposable thumbs - we won't have to shovel.
Boxes filled and the start of the Airedale netting in place.
Gracie surveys her world every morning at dawn from this vantage point...even in the rain.

Yep, garden's secure and no kangaroos in sight.
She sits really close to the edge.
Who me?

  1. What are you planting in your raised beds - veges or flowers?
Be careful that close to the edge, Gracie!

  2. Yowsie! That's close to the edge Gracie! I hope you don't see a 'hopper' and jump off to chase it! You know us terriers - act first, think later! heehee!

    Keep safe!

  3. Gosh it that drop as big as it looks Gracie?
Raised flower beds sound good. But we think it would have made a great sandpit!
